Our client is a strongly funded startup who is disrupting the food & beverage space with innovative, E-commerce driven product placement. They are currently looking to staff a Mechanical Engineer
Salary/Hourly Rate: 70K+ DOE

Position Overview: Our start up client is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to be a part of a multi-disciplinary team, creating innovative and state of the art vending machines for point of sale purchases. The Mechanical Engineer will be an integral part of the business, who will collaborate closely with scientists and product marketing personnel to brainstorm creative approaches and tackle complex challenges to introduce new and improved products for a wide range of customers.

Responsibilities of the Mechanical Engineer: 

  • The Mechanical Engineer will perform feasibility studies, modeling, simulation, and analysis of new or modified designs
  • Design, generate and maintain product documentation including models, drawings, specifications, bills of material, and engineering change orders
  • Perform mechanical engineering and drafting duties which encompass the design of mechanical systems, associated equipment and components
  • Interface with outside vendors for best component or system selection as it pertains to the application requirements which ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications
  • Conduct research that tests and analyzes the feasibility, design, operation and performance of equipment, components and systems
  • Develop innovative and cost-effective solutions to market requirements

Qualifications for the Mechanical Engineer:

  • Experience with design/drafting of equipment using SolidWorks, CAD, 3D modeling, or similar software
  • Experience working in teams with multi-disciplinary and diverse backgrounds
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Some engineering work experience (preferred in a food service environment or industry) is a plus

Education Requirements: 

  • Requires a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline
