Job Description

Our client is a pharmaceutical company that develops, manufactures, and markets pharmaceutical products. At the moment, they are seeking an HR Manager to join their expanding office.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

Position Overview: 
The HR Manager will manage all components of the HR generalist functions and be hands-on and strategic. Other responsibilities for this position are listed below.

Responsibilities of the HR Manager: 

  • Provide direction and counseling to a team of HR professionals
  • Facilitate in the recruiting, hiring, staffing, and on-boarding processes
  • Develop and administer HR policies and procedures and work with the employee handbook
  • Be hands on and heavily involved with employee relations, manage day-to-day issues and promote employee morale and motivation
  • Investigate and report on any accidents for the insurance carrier
  • Oversee learning and development efforts
  • Oversee accurate and timely payroll processing 
  • Review and oversee unemployment and worker’s compensation claims
  • Maintain employee records and HRIS system 
  • Help spearhead a wellness program for employees

Qualifications for the HR Manager: 

  • 5-7 years in an HR supervisory role
  • Experience in pharmaceutical industry is preferred, manufacturing environment experience is a plus
  • Ability to travel occasionally to other office locations
  • Strong knowledge of MS office – Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience with ADP is a plus
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills

Education Requirements: 
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, HR, Psychology or a related field
  • A Master’s degree is preferred
  • SPHR or PHR certification is preferred
