Job Description

Our client, an established logistics company, is currently seeking a temp-to-hire HR Assistant to support the HR department.

Salary/Hourly Rate:
$15/hr; $40K once perm

Position Overview:
The HR Assistant will assist the HR Director with administrative tasks.

Responsibilities of the HR Assistant: 

  • Support the entire HR department. 
  • Assist with open requisitions, job postings, coordination of interviews and reference checks. 
  • Play an important role in benefits administration, reporting, records maintenance, and orientations. 
  • Serve as an additional contact for company vendors and temporary associates. The HR Assistant should be flexible, willing to learn, and ready to assist with all tasks including basic office support 
  • Help to organize company events and volunteer efforts
  • Should be willing to assist with miscellaneous office tasks such as greeting visitors and ordering lunch

Qualifications for the HR Assistant: 

  • 1-2 years of HR experience ideally, but will also consider candidates with strong HR internships
  • Must be able to efficiently multi-task and work independently with little to no direction
  • Intermediate experience with MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively 
  • Flexible, positive attitude, and willingness to learn

Education Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Preferably in HR, Labor & Employee Relations, or Business Administration)
