Job Description

Our client specializes in the importing of specialty canned foods for the Food Service Industry, working with distributors, restaurant chains, and manufacturers throughout the US. 

Salary/Hourly Rate:
 Depending on Experience (DOE)

Position Overview: The Account Executive will work to maintain existing relationships, as well as build new ones, with distributors, manufacturers, and any other clients.  

Responsibilities of the Account Executive: 

  • Schedule consistent and sustained face-to-face visits with existing customers in their assigned territory
  • Travel up to 50% of time 
  • Consult with client’s sales and purchasing departments.  Present options that make sense to customer’s business needs.
  • Create reports such as Weekly Market Recaps, quarterly KPI reports, industry analysis
  • Forecast future customer opportunities 
  • Coordinate with internal purchasing department on product needs
  • Work with Inside Sales Representatives to ensure each account is being followed up with on orders; issues, changes, and requests
  • Represent the brand at Trade Shows and Industry Events
Qualifications for the Account Executive:
  • Prior experience in the Food Industry, primarily selling ingredients in bulk 
  • Experience working with organizations such as restaurants, cafeterias, etc
  • 3-5 years of previous experience
  • Professional work attitude
  • Strong organizational, communication, and computer skills
  • Experience with MS Excel, Outlook, and a database management system
  • Ability to multi-task and work with a variety of individuals

Education Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree
